HP 6735s - Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard

Everything is working except graphics QE/Ci but i get native resolution.

Step 1: What version to use?

I tried Kalyway, iAtkos 4a, iAtkos 7, iPC, and only one worked for me is Hazard's Snow Leopard with updates 10.6.1 and 10.6.2 for Intel and AMD. Search google to find it.

Step 2: Preparing for installation:

I tried with all boot commands -v, -s, -f, -x, platform=X86PC, speedstepkernel, busratio=20, cpus=1 and others if there is some i didn't used. Things you'll need:

1. Boot132: Burn it on cd with Magic iso or other software
2. Snow Leopard by Hazard iso file: Burn iso to DVD but don't use DVD-RW
3. IOATAFamily.kext : Search it on google
4. USB Flash: Any size

Step 3: Installation:

Put cd with boot132 in dvd and restart computer, then press ESC key to get to BIOS setup screen. Press F10 and click on system configuration then i think it's device configuration and set your drives to IDE and in boot settings put yout dvd drive frist in the list. Save settings and exit. When you get boot:>  press enter and wait for image like this:

Then eject your cd with boot132 and insert dvd with hazards snow leopard wait for 15 sec and hit enter, then you get again on boot page, just hit enter. Now wait for dvd to load.

When you get to welcome screen you need to agree with some licences. After that go to tools - disk utilities. Select your hdd and go to erase:

Volume Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

Name: (put smaller name without spaces like mac or something like that)

Hit Erase (This will delete all your data on hdd). Now close disk utilities and in select destination window select your hdd and hit continue.

Before you hit install click on Customize button and select this packages:

Click ok and then install. Now wait for install to finish. When its done you need to reboot your computer hit reboot (in some cases it just stuck on that screen so you need to press and hold power button to turn it off than press it again and eject your dvd).

Step 4: Post Installation

For native resolution you need to install RadeonHD
Open terminal from applications -> tools and type this:

cd downloads/RadeonHD.kext/Contents/

sudo nano Info.plist

enter your pass and hit enter. FInd line with "EnableHardWareCursor" and under it set value from true to false. Press ctrl+x and it should ask you to save edited file. Press Y and hit enter. Close terminal and go to downloads select your radeonHD.kext and drop it on KextUtility, enter your pass and wait for it to finish. Now you have native resolution.

To enable wireless:

Download bcm43xx_enabler.sh

Open terminal:

cd downloads
sudo ./bcm43xx_enabler.sh

press enter, when its finish close terminal and restart computer.

Step 5: Done :)

That's it. Sound is little fuzzy and i didn't found a way to fix it.

  1. I've did all step by step. But I have kernel panic on OSX start from HDD.
Why do we need USB flash drive and IOATAFamily.kext? What should I do with them?

  4. Thank you for this post. I was completely lost before.
However, I still can't install Snow Leopard on my HP 6735s.

I select to install Snow Leopard by Hazard after starting the PC with Boot132. Then I get a nice gray screen with the Apple logo. Then, after +-2 minutes if installation with the DVD working, the computer doesn't do anything more, while keeping the gray screen with the Apple logo.

I also have the same questions as Sid on August 25. Why do we need flash drive and IOATAFamily.kext?
I also want to ask if you can specify to us any good Boot132 and a url, since there are many different ones out threre.

    Thank you.
